I really liked the show. I am a Democrat, but I completely agree with you on healthcare. Most of the scenarios people discuss regarding healthcare could be solved with old-fashioned insurance. I’m completely against the present employer-captive system.

The bottom line, IMHO, is that the middle class needs to save money to buy goods and services it wants, such as healthcare. The poor will always struggle, by definition of the word poor, and we all have an obligation to help them.

You had a good point about how people like to take charge of their retirement by using IRAs/401(k)s instead of pensions, but they don’t want to take charge of their healthcare purchases.

@CJ - Thanks for the feedback. I was really nervous being that I don't normally debate while being recorded. I agree with your point on the poor and if I had the where-with-all to round out my answers I would have mentioned it. The current system does have cracks that need to be filled in. I'm not convinced of a giant, reform everyone's health care solution that is being proposed.
