Cap and Trade Redux

Saturday, April 25, 2009

I’ve already posted on the uselessness of Cap and Trade two days ago. However, there was a debate in congress yesterday worth viewing. I’m indebted to C Thinker from Politics and Critical Thinking. The blog is featured on my list. He does an excellent job covering the debate, so I’m only going to post the videos of Gore, Gingrich and Waxman. We need Gingrich back into some form of office!

Here is Al Gore

Here is Newt

Here is the Cap and Trade bill's owner, Waxman, getting owned by Newt

Any questions?

Can I hijack your thread with a Simcity experiment ? I managed to turn in mad profits building coal plants and thrash incinerators, accepting trash from other cities and selling electricity to my neighbors. Air pollution graph over my city was a solid red. I laughed my ass off as I watched my "green" neighbors trying to balance their budgets while I built plant after plant raping Mother Gaia.

While I am typing this I am watching a news report about a woolly mammoth found in ice, and the possibility to clone it. What can go wrong right ?

I just did an expose very similiar to yours on the this topic, did you happen to catch the waxman 'redistribution' gaffe?

Sorry it's taken so long for me to respond. I haven't had a lot of time so I've been focused on my posts.

Devrim,

I'm glad that capitalism is still the best way to win Sim City. If only we could get that concept across in real life. Thanks for your post!

Cthinker,

Anytime, I'm a big fan of your blog.

LCR,

Oh yes! I love how the progressives feel that anything done in government is ok, so long as you are redistributing. As if redistribution does not have a social cost. I can't believe these guys get elected. I loved your expose. Keep up the excellent blogging!
